Razer Lachesis 5600DPI Support. Драйвера dpi

DPI (Windows Drivers)

[This documentation is preliminary and is subject to change.]

The DPI setting specifies what size to show text and other items on the desktop. This does not affect the Start screen.

Important

This setting has been deprecated in Windows® 8.1. The information about this deprecated setting is provided for reference only. The setting continues to exist for Windows 8 and Windows® 7.

We recommend that you use the automatic DPI configuration in Windows 8 and Windows® 7 to calculate an appropriate size. To do this, leave the DPI value empty.

Note

If you manually set DPI:

  • Choose a supported Windows® DPI value that is close to the physical DPI.

The physical DPI of a display is the measurement of the dots per inch that display is capable of. For example, for a display with a native resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels, and a physical display size of 14.4 inches x 9 inches, the physical DPI is 100 (1440 horizontal pixels ÷ 14.4 horizontal inches = 100 DPI).

  • Windows 7 requires a minimum effective vertical resolution of 600. To avoid application compatibility issues, we recommend using a minimum effective resolution of 1024 x 768.

The effective resolution is the available visible resolution when the text and graphics are enlarged.

This setting appears in the Display item in Control Panel. For more information, see the MSDN topic: High DPI.

Values

Windows DPI value

Specifies what size to show text and other items on the screen. Windows DPI value is an integer between 96 and 480. Supported values include 96, 120, and 144.

By default, Windows uses automatic DPI configuration.

Windows Automatic DPI Configuration

The following table shows the relationship between a monitor's physical DPI and the resulting default size:

Note

* If enlarging the screen would create an effective resolution of less than 1024 x 768, Windows chooses a smaller Windows DPI value.

The monitor’s physical DPI is calculated by using data in the Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) on applicable systems. When using automatic configuration, confirm that the EDID for the display is correct. For information on EDID, see the VESA E-EDID Implementation Guide.

The following table shows automatic DPI configuration values for the desktop for sample monitors:

Note

* For these sample monitors, Windows uses a smaller DPI value to avoid application-compatibility issues.

Manually selecting a windows dpi value

You can override automatic DPI configuration. This is useful for special displays, such as small displays or touch-enabled displays.

Use a Supported Size so that Graphics are Displayed Clearly

We recommend using one of the following three values: 96, 120, or 144. The Windows user interface is optimized for these values. Non-supported values may make fonts and graphics appear blurry.

120

125%

144

Use a Size that is Legible

Use a supported Windows DPI value that is close to the physical DPI. For guidance in choosing a Windows DPI value, see the table in the Windows Automatic DPI Configuration section earlier in this topic.

  • Calculation:

For example, on a 17-inch WUXGA monitor, with a native resolution of 1920 x 1200:

    17-inch WUXGA = 14.4 inches x 9 inches.

    1920 horizontal pixels ÷ 14.4 horizontal inches = 133 physical DPI.

Consider using the supported Windows DPI value of 120 (125% scale level), because the physical DPI is between 116 and 138.

Use a Size that Avoids Application-Compatibility Issues

Use a supported Windows DPI value that creates a resolution that is at least as large as the minimum recommended and required Windows resolutions.

Windows 7 requires a minimum effective vertical resolution of 600. We recommend using a minimum effective resolution of 1024 x 768.

  • Calculation:

For example, on a 17-inch WUXGA monitor, with a native resolution of 1920 x 1200, using a Windows DPI value of 144 (150% scale level):

    Effective horizontal resolution = 1920 ÷ 150% = 1280.

    Effective vertical resolution = 1200 ÷ 150% = 800.

These values exceed the recommended minimum and required Windows resolutions.

Razer Lachesis 5600DPI | Official Razer Support

I cannot bind any mouse button to activate FRAPS screen capture or recording.  Why? Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Our team is currently looking into supporting this feature. Please stay up-to-date on our latest driver releases on www.razersupport.com. My cursor drifts sometimes or seems to move on its own when I play music, why? The Lachesis is a very sensitive and precise device, especially when set to a high dpi. If the Lachesis is operated near a source of vibration (such as  a table fan or a sub-woofer) the sensor may pick up these vibrations as movement, causing the cursor to slowly drift. This effect may be made worse with an uneven mouse pad, which may amplify the amount of movement experienced. It is recommended to relocate the vibration source away from the Lachesis to prevent the mouse from picking up these vibrations. Why does my mouse cursor jump or I sometimes end up looking in the wrong direction in an FPS game? If you’re experiencing cursor jump issues 1) The first course of action is to download the latest v1.16 firmware and update the mouse. This should cure any tracking, jumping or skipping issues you may be having. Steps 2 and 3 may give further improvements if needed.

2) If the jumps still persist, try cleaning the sensor lens with a Q-tip and some alcohol, leave it to dry for 5mins and try again. Please use Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol 99% for this purpose, you do not want to use Rubbing alcohol that contains ethanol. Isopropyl Alcohol 99% or 100% pure is commonly found in most all drug stores and medicine cabinets. Further cleaning can be obtained by using some air in a can or canned air to blow out any dust on and around the sensor. 3) Also try and remove the silver-colored sticker surrounding the opening of the sensor. If you've done all the above steps and continue to have jumps, please submit a support ticket online with the following info prepared which will aid us in further investigations:

1) Describe the motion (if any) when you experience a cursor jump. (e.g. moving slowly, drawing circles, etc)2) Describe the mousepad that you're using. (e.g. Hard/Soft/Hybrid)3) Does the cursor jump happen when you click the mouse or apply force to the top of the mouse? The Lachesis sensor doesn’t start working immediately after I put it down (after I’ve held it up for a 10 or more seconds). How can I fix this? The laser sensor automatically powers up if it is held constantly off the surface to ensure maximum surface compatibility. However, if held aloft for a prolonged period of time then put back on the surface, the sensor requires a small amount of time to readjust again before continuing tracking. We are currently working on a solution to address this issue. The lighted Razer logo does not pulsate smoothly. It dithers or blinks right when it is dimming to its dimmest point. Is this normal? This is the normal behavior of the mouse and its lighting. The mouse and its lighting are operating correctly. The mouse cursor moves a little whenever I lift up the mouse (a “mouse floating” phenomenon). How can I fix this? The laser sensor has a very low “lift-off” distance from the surface it is currently on before it cuts off.  Compared to previous generation optical and laser sensors the 3G Laser knows much earlier when you are lifting your mouse and stops the sensor. What type of mouse pad will work best with the Razer Lachesis? We have found the Razer Lachesis to perform at its best with a hard mouse pad surface. We recommend the Razer Destructor, although any quality hard surface mouse pad will work as well. My Razer mouse is out of warranty and is not working. Is there any way it can be repaired? Razer products are designed to work well beyond when the warranty has expired. However, If you feel your mouse is having issues we first suggest trying the mouse on another computer to insure the issue is with the mouse and not something within the computer system. If you have narrowed the issue to the mouse itself there is not really a cost effective repair center that would be able to assist you. Razer does make available some basic external spare parts at http://www.razerzone.com/store/gaming-accessories , but we are unable to supply any internal parts or repair guides.

You can clean the mouse sensor using a Q-Tip lightly coated with rubbing alcohol and then letting the sensor dry for 5 minutes before attempting to use it. It is rare, but a light shot of air from a can of compressed air can sometime free debris that may be causing an issue.

How can I contact Razer? If you were unable to find the answer to your question(s) in our FAQ, please don’t hesitate to contact us here or call 1-888-697-2037. How can I modify or disassemble my Razer product? We cannot help you in modifying or disassembling your Razer product since that will void the manufacturer’s warranty on the unit. How do I change the language of Configurator? The language selection is based on the driver version installed on the computer.  There is no option in the Customizer.  To correct this issue, uninstall the software and download the appropriate drivers from here. How do I request or purchase replacement parts for my Razer product? For a complete list of our current spare parts and accessories please click here. If the item you need isn’t listed, please don’t hesitate to contact our Customer Support team here. I have a coupon/promotional/gift voucher code for the RazerStore. Where can I enter the code so I can use it to purchase products? From your shopping cart page on the Razer Store, please check the box labeled “Enter Promo Code.” Enter the code into the box and click “Apply Code.” The total price after should reflect the discount. I recently placed an order on the Razer Store and it still shows my order is "In Process".  When will my order ship? We are sorry if there are any delays in processing your order. The product may be out of stock or the order may be under protection/fraud review. Please don’t hesitate to check your order status at the RazerStore page by entering your information at the Order Status page. I think my Razer product is defective and would like an RMA/exchange. If you were unable to troubleshoot and resolve any issues you are having with the knowledgebase (FAQ) and you feel your product is still defective, please don’t hesitate to contact us here or call 1-888-697-2037. I would like information on future Razer products. Unfortunately, customer support has no information on future product or driver releases. For any information regarding future products please visit our website or our social media outlets. My Razer peripheral will not work properly when used with a KVM switch. We recommend plugging your Razer product directly into your PC.  KVM switches are known to cause interruptions in communications between devices and PCs.  If your Razer product works when plugged directly into the computer, then it is operating correctly and the issue is most likely due to the KVM switch. My Razer product does not work at startup after a cold start, what should I do? Make sure that USB ports are not in hibernation mode. Please go to your Windows “Device Manager” and click the + sign next to Universal Serial Bus Controllers. Click on any “Root Hub” and select “Properties.” Click the Power Management tab and ensure that “Allow computer to turn off this device to save power” and proceed to do this under each Root Hub.  Also, from the Control Panel and Power Options, select the Hibernation Tab and deselect “Enable hibernate support.” My Razer product does not work correctly with a specific program or game. What should I do? If you are experiencing issues with the Razer device in a particular application, test the device in another application to confirm if the issue is specific to that application. If the Razer device functions properly in another application then the program is likely the cause of the issue.  Please feel free to contact customer support here to report the issue and see if there are any fixes or workarounds for the issue. One of the features of my Razer Product does not work. If you’re unable to find an FAQ article that helps resolve the issue, please contact our customer support team here. User guides and product manuals are also available on the Support page. What are some examples of a “Proof of Purchase” to provide when initiating an RMA? A valid proof of purchase is defined as a dated sales receipt from an authorized Razer Reseller. The receipt must show the product description and price. Invoice slips and e-mail order confirmations can be considered on a case-by-case basis. What is the difference between "driver" and "firmware" updates the Razer Support Site? Drivers are installed onto your computer and allow your computer to communicate with your Razer product. Firmware updates are hardware level code to install directly onto the Razer device that can update, fix, or change functionality of the product. Where can I find drivers for my Razer product? Please click here to find all the latest drivers. Why does Razer require a proof of purchase? Razer must verify that the product is within the specified warranty period and that it was purchased from an authorized reseller. Products purchased from unauthorized dealers are often used, counterfeit, re-boxed, defective or gray market goods. These units may also not be designed and packaged to work in your country and may not meet all legal and safety requirements.  Razer will not be able to honor a warranty on products purchased from an unauthorized dealer or that are out of the warranty period.  If you purchased product from an unauthorized reseller, all support and warranty issues should be directed to that reseller. How can I test my Razer Mouse to be sure that the buttons are assigned and working properly? Open the Customizer and assign button 3 to the number 3 on the keyboard, 4 to 4, etc. Open Notepad in Windows and click the corresponding buttons to test if they’ve been binded correctly. If the bindings are not working with a specific game, please contact the game publisher. If it does not work at all, please contact our Customer Support team. How do I maintain my Razer Mouse for optimum performance? Once a month we recommend you unplug the mouse from the USB port and clean the lens below the mouse with a soft cloth or cotton swab. Use a little warm water but no soap or harsh cleaning agents. To get the ultimate experience in movement and control, we highly recommend a premium mouse surface from Razer. Some surfaces can cause the mouse feet to wear excessively and rapidly. How does Razer measure the  polling rate (ultrapolling)  and response rates of their keyboards and mice? Razer uses digital scopes and USB analyzers connected directly to the motherboard  to obtain real and accurate measurements of polling rates. I cannot find my Razer mouse or keyboard in Windows Device Manager under "Mice and other pointing Devices" Razer mice and keyboards are not typically listed under the "Mice and other pointing Devices" section of the Windows Device Manager. They should be listed under "Human Interface Devices.” I cannot get the On The Fly sensitivity function to work on my Razer mouse. How do I set it? If a button has been assigned to "On-The-Fly Sensitivity," pressing and holding the assigned button down while moving the scroll wheel up or down will produce a bar on the lower right hand corner of your screen allowing you to adjust your sensitivity settings. My mouse cursor is not moving. Please try cleaning the sensor lens with a Q-tip and some rubbing alcohol and let it dry for 5 minutes and try the mouse again. If it still doesn’t work, contact us here or call 1-888-697-2037. What are Master Acceleration and Master Sensitivity Control? Master Acceleration lets you assign the same sensitivity for both the X and Y axis. Master Sensitivity Control allows for fine tuning specific X and Y axis sensitivity. What buttons can I register for Macros on Razer mice? You can set macros to reflect the majority of keyboard keys except the Windows keys and enhanced function keys. Mouse button presses are not programmable to macros.
